Elevation Truckee is a community based Adult Day Program in the Truckee / Tahoe mountains for adults with developmental disabilities. We serve clients 18 years old and older who desire elevated living in their communities. We design classes and curriculum based on the wants and needs of our clients at all times. This program belongs to our clients. We are opened Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm. Elevation welcomes everyone to come and take a tour and meet the wonderful people who are Elevation. At Elevation we provided classes in:

-Community Interaction & Integration

-Art and the arts

-Business Skills

-Self Expression & Advocacy

-Functional and Healthy Living Skills

-Vocational/Volunteer Training

-Cooking

-Reading, Writing & Comprehension

-Etiquette

-Money Skills

Elevation provides Independent Living Services (ILS) to clients who are preparing to live on their own or need additional support while living independently.

ILS is a one on one service providing training in the home or natural environment. Classes teach Self-Advocacy, Employment training, Community integration and/or Self-care. In compliance with Title 17 section 56742, we offer training in:

- Cooking

- Cleaning

- Shopping in natural environments

- Menu planning

- Meal preparation

-Money management

- Use of local public transportation

- Personal health & hygiene

-Self-advocacy training

-Independent local recreation participation

-Use of medical, dental & other community resources

-Community resource awareness such as police, fire and emergency help

-Home and community safety

Elevation Truckee’s Tailored Day Service is an individualized and unique option for those service recipients who cannot attend traditional day programs or who want or need specific, customized day programming. This service is a one to one service. It is our mission to use a team approach to identify and create a set of purposeful activities and goals intended to enrich the life of the participant who may not otherwise have the opportunity for day programming or employment.

Elevation also facilitates the Paid Internship Program (PIP) for clients that are interested in working. This often works in conjunction with job coaching through TDS to ensure a successful employment experience for the client and employer. Once employment is found, Elevation will help clients secure funding for up to 1,040 hours over a 12 month period. Alta California Regional Center funds all employer-related costs until the employee is fully trained in all job duties.
